G-Lish Baskets
Hand woven baskets from Ghana, Africa. These unique, eye-catching baskets are each made from 240 recycled water bottles and 2 yards of recycled cloth.
The weavers earn Fair Trade wages, allowing them to send their children to school as well as support their health. G-lish allows preservation of traditional skills, development of business skills and support of the environment.
The G-lish Foundation was awarded the SEEDS Award 2010 for entrepreneurship in sustainable development.
Volunteer in Africa-Ghana- the G-Lish foundation is a registered non-government organisation which operates an international volunteer program, helping to contribute to rural development in Africa.

AfriBeads Baskets
Hand woven baskets made by the Kind Mothers Project is Uganda. The baskets are made from raphia leaf and banana stem using the traditional technique of coiled weaving.
The Kind Mothers Program allows training and skill development for the weavers, and supports children in Uganda allowing them to attend school.
